Welcome to Sunset Bay RV Resort & Campground!

Located directly on the shores of Lake Superior, Sunset Bay RV Resort & Campground is one of the oldest, continuously operating campgrounds in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Started in 1944 by Pete Lukonich, Sunset Bay RV Resort & Campground has been a family favorite from generation to generation! There are 11 tent-only sites, 23 RV-tent sites, 2 cabins with kitchen, bathroom, fireplace and supplemental gas heat, and a small day cabin. Sunset Bay RV Resort & Campground has modern facilities including bath houses, laundry, ice, dump station, and 30amp electric and water at all RV sites. Tent sites have water only. All sites have campfire pits.

All cabins have kitchens, linens, gas heat, fireplace and bathroom (except Pete's Place) All water is made by reverse osmosis (very pure). Firewood and ice available. Refund of deposit available no less than 20 days prior to reservation date on cabins and 10 days prior on campsites.

What a beauty! I took my family here for a 3 night tent stay and it was excellent! The campsites were located right on the shore of Lake Superior. Fun rock hounding, beautiful sunsets, and located in the Keweenaw Peninsula. The host was always friendly and accommodating.
